
AV Design Engineer - Innovative Systems & BOM Specialist

The AV Design Engineer will be a highly motivated team focused professional. This individual will be responsible for creating the bill of materials, scope of work, system design, and complex estimates in collaboration with the operations and sales teams. Extensive industry knowledge of products, their functionality, and the best practice for their installation is required. The AV Design Engineer must establish and maintain effective working relationships with external clients and the internal company leadership teams through a high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and engineer Audiovisual systems
Reviewing plans, RFP and project specification documents
Estimating all job expenses, freight and other potential costs through a complete understanding of the project details (specifications, bid documents, RFPs, etc.)
Assisting sales in customer requirements gathering and client communication
Creating bills of material
Building systems with consultant driven designs as well as developing novel designs based on client requirements
Creating a scope of work with technical descriptions
Creating drawings to support the sales and proposal process
Performing site walk-throughs and technical review meetings
Interface with consultants, vendors, general contractors, electrical contractors and other partners
Supporting the Operations Team for change orders
Transitioning projects to Project Manager and Installation Team to ensure a successful installation.
Demonstrating creative solutions to help differentiate LINX Multimedia
Education and Experience
4-yearEngineeringdegreeand/or 5-10 years of related experience
CTS Required, CTS-D preferred
Preferred Experience
Two years of engineering experience in professional audio/video integration preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam and Estimating programs preferred.
Pay Rate:
$65,000 - $95,000/year
