Position Summary
ITT Aerospace Controls offers a best‑in‑class internship experience designed to immerse students in the aerospace industry. As a Product Design Engineering Intern, you’ll gain hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge technologies and real‑world projects that contribute to the innovation of fluid motion control and environmental control system solutions used in aerospace applications. Interns work closely with experienced engineers and industry experts, gaining valuable insights into engineering processes, product development, and problem‑solving strategies. Essential Responsibilities
Support the development of tools or training to aid engineering groups in deployment of automated solutions, additive manufacturing, and process improvements.
Support plans and projects emphasizing improvement of existing products, development of new products, or improvement of methods of product manufacture or test.
Assist in product design with compliance to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling, costing, and resolving engineering design and test problems where appropriate.
Support customer visits, data reviews, and provide technical information.
Support integration of technical activities and products.
Work under supervision from engineers or engineering management.
Establish test criteria and conduct test analysis of prototype and qualification components.
Lead projects related to the manufacture, production, and automation of FMC & ECS products.
Apply manufacturing processes and technology, automation and robotics, LEAN/data‑driven manufacturing principles.
Position Requirements
Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) program (BS/MS/PhD) and in good academic standing.
Experience or familiarity with CAD software.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
