The Position
In thisroleyou will administer safety programs, training, and management controls in assigned regions to mitigate loss potential. Ensure compliance of safety programs by all employees and any subcontractor(s) on project sites while followingWalbec'score values.
Primary focus is to uphold OSHA, MSHA, Company, Site Specific safetystandardsand programs on job site
Be a leader and role model for safety
Be willing and able to perform weekly safety meetings in front of large crowds
Able to train employees on various tasks
Be involved in incident investigations and complete necessary incident forms
Responsible for overseeing sub-contractor safety
Be on sites/in the field 80 to 90 percent of the time
Attend,Facilitate, and Organize daily & weekly safety meetings
Conduct and Facilitate and Weekly safety inspections
Conduct, organize, and schedule site visits and audits
Provide Safety Policy guidance and interpretation to field when appropriate
Ensure countermeasures are properlyidentifiedto prevent reoccurrence byutilizinga robust incident investigation process
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the Safety Team to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Maintain Safety Information System records and compile reports from database
Other duties as assigned
Ability to travel within the Wisconsin area
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
OSHA 500 certification
First Aid/CPR certified
High knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 rules and regulations
Demonstrated knowledge of all other applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
Mustpossessa theoretical and practical knowledge of regulatory standards
Must have exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including a high degree of judgment, diplomacy, and ability to influence others
Ability to drive decision making process to conclusions/solutions
Ability to interact with employees at all levels
Self-directed and motivated
Bachelors degree in related field (Preferred)
