Common Area Attendant
The Common Area Attendant ensures common areas such as the lobby, public restrooms, elevators, vending areas, and employee breakrooms of the resort are kept clean and organized at all times.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Constantly walks through, straightens or cleans assigned public areas, stairwells, hallways and elevators
Ensures internal windows and doorways are free of fingerprints and smudges
Vacuums and dusts floors, furniture, windowsills, tables, chairs and pictures
Ensures elevators (walls, glass, carpet) are cleaned and free of debris
Empties inside waste receptacles at main and side entrances
Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets
Follows procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens
Practices safety procedures, including bending, lifting and safe use of equipment
Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to management
This position requires regular and predictable attendance
All other duties as assigned by management
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
