Internship Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Intern to support our supplier relations team in identifying, evaluating, and building partnerships with new equipment and service suppliers for our pharmacy customers. This role provides hands‑on experience in supplier negotiations, market research, and relationship management within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Identify Suppliers: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers of pharmacy equipment and services.
Outreach & Relationship Building: Engage with prospective suppliers via calls, emails, and meetings to explore partnership opportunities.
Supplier Evaluation: Assess supplier capabilities, pricing, and service levels to ensure alignment with business needs.
Negotiation & Onboarding: Assist in contract discussions and supplier onboarding processes.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Analyze industry trends, competitor partnerships, and supplier landscapes to drive strategic decision‑making.
Collaboration: Work cross‑functionally with sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless supplier integration.
Data & Reporting: Maintain supplier databases, track interactions, and generate reports on supplier performance and opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research.
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools (preferred).
Prior experience in business development, sales, or supplier relations is a plus but not required.
