Full-time Interventional Cardiologist and Full-time Medical Director of Cardiac Care Services for Large Public Hospital System in Silicon Valley Better Health for All Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), a large public healthcare system, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic practice at Regional Medical Center and a full-time BC SCVH Medical Director of Cardiac Care Services within the Enterprise. About Our Organization Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) is the second-largest County-owned health and hospital system in California and is committed to improving the health of the 1.9 million people of Santa Clara County. SCVH is comprised of four hospitals: Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC - a 731-bed central hospital), O’Connor Hospital (OCH - 358 licensed beds), and Saint Louise Regional Hospital (SLRH – 93 licensed beds) and Regional Medical Center (RMC - 258 licensed beds). At SCVH, we have recently established a Cardiac Care Service Line that integrates all cardiac services across our hospitals and clinics to provide comprehensive care including advanced cardiothoracic surgery that includes use of ECMO, structural heart procedures, multiple STEMI receiving centers, electrophysiologic studies and interventions, outpatient cardiac rehabilitation and an outpatient heart failure program. Regional Medical Center, the newest addition to the Health Care system, is a level 2 trauma center, STEMI receiving center and Thrombectomy capable Stroke Center. In addition to the busy inpatient services there is an outpatient clinic located on the campus to facilitate an efficient elective outpatient practice. Providers in our health system also have the opportunity to use our integrated electronic health record (Epic), which brings together systemwide patient information. The Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) recognized SCVMC for achieving its highest level of success (Stage 7), based on our continuous innovation and optimization of our inpatient and outpatient EHR. About the Department The Department of Medicine is a large, dynamic department which includes Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Hematology/Oncology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, and Hospitalists services. About the Positions 1. Interventional Cardiologist at RMC : We are seeking a board certified/board eligible fellowship trained Interventional Cardiologist for our busy STEMI receiving center and acute care hospital at Regional Medical Center. The position will include both Interventional Cardiology and General Cardiology inpatient consultation as well as outpatient clinic and elective/scheduled interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and our advanced practice providers. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a valid California medical license. 2. Enterprise Medical Director of Cardiac Care Services for SCVH: This position is for a board-certified Interventional cardiologist to serve as the SCVH Medical Director of Cardiac Care Service Line. In addition to clinical duties, this position would have significant leadership responsibilities in overseeing delivery of cardiology care across all 4 enterprise hospitals, maintaining high quality of care standards and strategic planning for growth of the service line in close collaboration with division members, associated managers and technical staff and Executive Leadership. Candidates with at least 5 years of leadership experience are preferred.
