Media Buying Intern (2026 Summer)

Do you watch your local sports team and wonder how advertisers decide to air in NCAA vs. Sunday night NFL? Do you ever think about why you and your friends see different ads? Do you love to negotiate or want to build your network in the DFW media community? If so, perhaps you should consider a career in media investment – an industry that uses data, research, and partnerships to buy media that gets real attention. TRG is seeking an audio/video investment intern. The TRG intern experience is like that of an entry-level hire, because our interns play active roles on the teams they are assigned to and gain exposure to the investment process at TRG and to all media subdisciplines. We take pride in the fact that many of our interns earn the opportunity to join the agency on a full-time, permanent basis.

What You’ll Be Doing

Work closely with audio/video investment teams across TV, connected TV, radio, and streaming audio buying

Work with buyers and partners to send insertion orders and gather vendor contracts to ensure that clients’ media goes live on time and accurately

Monitor active buys and reconcile invoice discrepancies and reporting to hold stations accountable for executing buys as ordered

Meet selling partners in online and offline video and audio to expand your network and gain experience in building vendor relationships

Additional learning opportunities: participate in the intern shadowing series to gain exposure to media strategy teams, other investment teams, media systems training, and weekly intern seminar series with interns from across the agency

Work alongside other TRG interns from our Strategy Collective (brand strategy and digital strategy) on a semester-long project
