Competitive Intelligence Global Banking-Vice President

As a Vice President on the Competitive Intelligence team, you will inform business heads, executive leaders and partners about changes in the competitive landscape and the impact these changes have on our Global Banking business. The role provides ongoing exposure to Global Banking executives and the ability to affect numerous aspects of a market‑leading franchise. The individual will lead various ad hoc and recurring engagements that provide a deeper understanding of the competitive landscape so J.P. Morgan can compete most effectively.

Competitive Intelligence is a dedicated function within J.P. Morgan’s Global Banking business, which includes Commercial Banking, Global Corporate Banking and Global Investment Banking. Recurring and project-based work will be relevant to Global Banking overall or one of the sub‑businesses. The group is aligned with the Global Banking Business Intelligence team, which reports to the Global Banking CFO.

Job Responsibilities

Drive senior leader engagement on priority projects that showcase new insights and lead to opportunities for J.P. Morgan; ensure insights address business objectives and project goals

Produce powerful, clear story‑telling materials that are easy‑to‑digest and lead to active discussion among various senior audiences

Develop a deep understanding of current and emerging banking trends, helping team deliver insightful, forward‑looking content

Lead discussions with senior employees to share and collect insights on what they are seeing across industry; use knowledge of business to connect the dots and translate input into valuable forward‑looking insights

Influence strategic agenda of both function and broader team and contribute to idea generation that benefits the business

Engage with broader business intelligence team and other key partners to develop robust insights and impactful strategic recommendations

Drive professional development of junior CI resources

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

7+ years of experience in business management, competitive intelligence, strategy, consulting, finance, product or related field

Strong storytelling and writing skills that clearly communicate complex topics in an easy‑to‑digest manner

Superior verbal presentation skills that generate meaningful engagement with an executive audience

Comfort working with employees at various seniority levels and locations while building strong internal relationships

Ability to steer and indirectly coach other team members

Strong understanding of banking trends and experience in financial services industry

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Commercial, Corporate or Investment Banking experience
