Overview
Verkada is seeking a software engineer to join the Infrastructure team with a focus on engineering productivity. Projects may include improving build time and dependency management in a monorepo, enabling rapid local iteration on microservices, building fast and reliable testing frameworks, and standardizing logging and monitoring systems.
What You’ll Do
Make every engineer’s day-to-day productive and enjoyable
Define engineering tooling roadmap
Own Kubernetes deployment and development tooling
Build various software and hardware testing frameworks
Provide technical support for engineers on other teams
Help with growing the team
What You Bring
Must have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
Experience in at least one scripting language (preferably Python)
Experience and enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and tooling
Comfortable with working at the frontier of infrastructure and software development
Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (preferably AWS) is preferred
Experience using Kubernetes is preferred
Experience with Go is preferred
Experience managing a monorepo is preferred
Experience with Bazel or similar build systems is preferred
Experience with ArgoCD is preferred
Experience writing Kubernetes controllers is preferred

Annual Pay Range
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
$130,000 - $300,000 USD
