$1000 Sign on Bonus! Dental Hygienist needed to join our patient centered, busy, organized and well established team part or full time, 1 to 4 days per week, depending on your availability. *Responsibilities*
* Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible
* Sterilize dental instruments properly
* Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
* Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
* Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
* Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
* Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
* Take radiographs and intra-oral photographs
* Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including periodontal health and oral cancer)
* Assist dentist in administering anesthetic as needed
* Administer Nitrous Oxide during treatments
* Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
* Monitor supplies
*Skills*
* Proven experience as Dental Hygienist (new grads are welcome to apply)
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
* Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
* Outstanding communication skills
* A compassionate and friendly personality
* Building relationships with patients
* Attention to detail
* Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
* Diploma in Dental Hygiene
* Valid license to practice
