Asst Property Manager / Asst Community Manager - AH/Tax Credit

Overview Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Assistant Community Manager role with Western National Group/Western National Property Management. You will support management of a multimillion-dollar community asset, lead daily operations, and help optimize net operating income while working with the Community Manager and maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing the community’s daily operations and financial performance.

Collaborate with the Community Manager and maintenance team to create an environment that exemplifies California living at its best.

Support ownership objectives and implement strategies to meet property performance goals.

Serve as the backbone of the community, contributing to resident services and property management activities.

Determine eligibility for affordable housing programs, secure third-party verifications, calculate household incomes, and complete Tenant Income Certifications.

Prepare and submit compliance reports as required by the Regulatory Agreement.

Assist with financial statements, budget preparation, and monthly reporting as applicable.

Support maintenance operations and ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law and fair housing regulations.

Utilize computer tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Assistant Community Manager or Leasing Manager seeking advancement.

Knowledge of determining eligibility, third-party verifications, income calculations for eligibility, Tenant Income Certifications, and compliance reporting.

Experience with financial statements, budget preparation, and monthly reporting is a plus.

Strong understanding of maintenance operations, landlord-tenant law, and fair employment and housing laws.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Yardi Voyager experience is advantageous.

High School Diploma or GED; college degree is a plus.

Compensation
This position offers $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus benefits.
