Magnolia Dentistry is growing & hiring for a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist. Our practice is a small, privately owned, spa-like, and modern two-doctor dental practice near the Brannon Crossing area of South Lexington/Nicholasville, KY.
We are a high-end, growing office that is seeking a motivated, professional, hardworking, fun, and personable part-time registered dental hygienist to join our team! Our ideal candidate must be knowledgeable about the field of dental hygiene and current best practices, be able to give patients education on their oral health, have careful attention to detail when helping the doctor with treatment plans, is organized with the ability to multitask and be flexible, is compassionate and adaptable, maintains confidentiality, and enjoys talking to and getting to know patients of our practice. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have laser certification, capturing digital scans with an intraoral scanner (itero or similar), and have experience administering local anesthetic. These are not required and training will be provided in these fields.

Our goal for our patients is simple: To create a relaxing, fun, and enjoyable experience for patients to love coming to the dentist. Our practice offers comprehensive general dentistry in a comfort-focused, spa-like, and welcoming space with the complimentary amenities that every patient deserves, all while staying on the cutting edge of dentistry with the best practices and state-of-the-art dental technology.
Our patient hours are 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Thursday.
*MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
· Perform all standard roles and functions as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Kentucky.
· Be proficient in using digital charting software
· Give patient education pertaining to each individual’s personal oral health state, as well as recommend additional procedures or products with the doctor when appropriate such as fluoride, whitening, electric toothbrushes, etc.
· Take digital scans with intraoral scanner (Digital training can be provided, but special consideration will be given to candidates who have current digital scanning experience).
· Prepare treatment rooms for patients – before, during, and after treatment, and work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Take comprehensive, accurate, and detailed notes with guidance from the doctor, and maintain patient dental records accurately and efficiently.
· Take all dental radiographs - including both 2D and 3D cone beam CT-, intraoral and extraoral pictures, and take digital scans using our iTero digital scanner (training provided with all technology)
· Explain dental treatment to patients including pre and post operative care with procedures.
· Process and sterilize dental instruments quickly, accurately, and efficiently with highest level of infection control standards consistent with OSHA and the ADA. This includes helping process instruments for the whole team if other treatment rooms are behind/etc.
· Maintain supply inventory with the clinical team.
· Must be friendly, organized, adaptable, flexible, be able to multi-task, and be hardworking and able to work with a team.
· Must be able to follow privacy practices and be compliant with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
*Education and Experience*
· Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene Program
· Registered Dental Hygiene License in the state of Kentucky
· Dental Hygiene experience
· knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
· knowledge of computer skills
· Additional consideration given to candidates who have laser certification, have experience with intraoral scanning, and competence in delivering local anesthetic.
