Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Permanent Sr. H&H Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position will allow you to showcase your technical expertise in the field of hydrology and hydraulics as you contribute to the design and execution of complex engineering projects. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for our clients. Responsibilities Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and studies, applying your knowledge of engineering principles.
Design and implement complex engineering solutions related to water resources.
Use your expertise in hydrologic studies to develop models and interpret results.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a learning environment.
Prepare technical reports and presentations, clearly communicating your findings and recommendations.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in hydrology and hydraulics.
Participate in project meetings, contributing your technical knowledge and insights.
Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and engineering standards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. would be considered an asset.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics, with a focus on design engineering.
Proficient in the use of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
Strong understanding of engineering principles related to water resources.
Proven experience in conducting hydrologic studies and interpreting the results.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
Ability to work effectively in a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
