
Business Development Manager - The Americas

Responsibilities & Duties
Prospects potential customers; qualifies for potential volume and revenue. Establish account sales strategy.
Understands sales goals and defines strategy to achieve these goals (both short and long term) and to follow the set strategy punctually.
Manages the proposal development process and maintains timeline for delivery.
Maintains customer databases, sales and expense reports and keeps management informed of accomplishments, problems, new opportunities, etc.
Supports marketing activities including trade/exhibition shows, campaigns, mailings, etc.
Builds and maintains important customer relationships to obtain information on their needs and provide product/service solutions covering both routine and advanced requests.
Negotiates and closes business deals.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the company’s product line, engineering and development capabilities, and order management processes.
Understands and complies with all company policy and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Initiates sales and marketing strategies and coordinates actions to influence the market.
Clarifies goals and reaches agreement while maintaining the interest of all parties.
Proactively develops and improves sales channels, markets, and/or customer relationships.
Possesses a technical aptitude and an ability to navigate market verticals including: Airfield, Obstruction, & Marine.
Understands electrical, electronic and communication technology.
Is organized and has strong attention to detail.
Can prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Is able to travel and maintain expense records.
Is a self‑starter, team player and results‑oriented.
Has strong presentation and negotiation skills, and can interface from the operational to executive level.
Knows sales and marketing presentation techniques.
Exhibits excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Education & Experience
Required Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 5 years of experience
Preferred Education / Experience
Bilingual in Spanish
