Position Overview

Einfalt Recycling & Salvage Inc. is looking for a no-nonsense Yard Manager to run daily yard operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead from the front, keep workers on task, and maintain order in a fast-paced, industrial yard environment.

If you can’t handle long hours, tough conditions, or holding people accountable, this is not the job for you.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily yard operations with efficiency and control

Supervise crew and ensure work is being done safely and correctly

Enforce safety rules at all times — zero tolerance for carelessness

Direct traffic, material flow, and loading/unloading operations

Monitor and manage scrap sorting, processing, and storage

Keep the yard clean, organized, and running without downtime

Identify and report equipment issues immediately

Train new workers and correct poor performance on the spot

Maintain discipline and productivity across the crew

Requirements

Proven experience in a scrapyard, recycling yard, construction yard, or similar environment

Strong leadership — must be able to take control and give clear direction

Experience supervising labor crews

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to operate or oversee heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, etc.)

Strong work ethic — no excuses, no shortcuts

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance (mandatory)
