Warehouse Technician - Baytown, TX

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Baytown, Texas area:

WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN

Warehouse Technicians perform any combination of tasks to receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within warehouses and/or onsite facilities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

* Reads work order, shipping order, or requisition order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

* Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated ares by hand, hand truck, or forklift

* Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, color, or product code

* Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and other stock items

* May also distribute tools

* Records materials or items received and distributed

* May be responsible for inventory and inventory control

* May be required to load or unload materials from trucks, trailers, or rail cars

The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.
