Job Description
The Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and inspecting electrical cables and wire harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role supports Teledyne DGO's high-reliability manufacturing operations and requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality requirements.

Job Description
The Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and inspecting electrical cables and wire harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role supports Teledyne DGO's high-reliability manufacturing operations and requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical cables, wire harnesses, and subassemblies using hand tools, crimping tools, and soldering equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
- Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, tinning, soldering, heat shrinking, and cable lacing
- Install connectors, backshells, strain reliefs, and shielding per specifications
- Conduct continuity checks, visual inspections, and basic electrical testing as required
- Identify and report workmanship defects, material issues, or documentation discrepancies
- Accurately complete production documentation, travelers, and quality records
- Follow IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards and internal quality procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support continuous improvement, 5S initiatives, and lean manufacturing practices
- Comply with all safety, quality, and company policies
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in cable assembly or electro-mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and follow detailed drawings, prints, and assembly instructions
- Proficiency using hand tools and basic test equipment (e.g., multimeter)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing
- Soldering experience to industry standards
- Familiarity with ESD-controlled environments
- Experience working in an ISO- or AS9100-certified environment
Physical Demands:
- Good coordination and flexibility in both hands
- Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or more
- Good vision including passing color blindness test
