Job Responsibilities
Provides a full range of services to crime victims and coordinates, implements, monitors all aspects of victim services within his/her judicial circuit.
Provides Victim Awareness Training to Department staff.
Supports the Office of Victim Services with various training to include regional judicial circuit training.
Serves as the local victim services representative for SCDPPPS in collaboration with community partners.
Conducts and promotes outreach efforts on behalf of SCDPPPS victim services.
Promotes the agency victim services programs.
Represents SCDPPPS Office of Victim Services in inter- and intra-agency victim services efforts.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and related experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required related experience.
Necessary Special Requirements
Will be required to obtain Victim Services Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling or other social/behavioral science and two years of related experience. A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for related work experience.
