Biology Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for biology experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems being trained on advanced scientific content. Your knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex biology — from cellular mechanisms to graduate-level concepts that push the boundaries of what AI can do.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your hours, work independently, and contribute to some of the most exciting AI research happening today.

Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Design challenging, advanced biology questions to rigorously test AI performance
Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with well-structured scientific reasoning
Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of logic
Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in AI outputs across biological domains
Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Masters-level biology topics
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a Master\'s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced biology topics
Able to communicate complex scientific ideas clearly and precisely in writing
Detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific accuracy
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
Background spanning multiple biology sub-disciplines (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, physiology, ecology)
