Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our team of dietitians at PIH Health Whittier! The PIH Health Medication Management Clinic is located off site from the main PIH Health Whittier Hospital, located only 12 miles southeast of Los Angeles, CA.

The clinic is a subspecialty providing care focused on chronic disease management care in collaboration with the primary care providers and specialists with group and affiliated providers.

The clinic manages various chronic conditions: anticoagulants, diabetes, cholesterol, weight management, and hypertension.

What You'll Do

Join a collaborative subspecialty clinic dedicated to helping patients better manage chronic conditions through coordinated, interdisciplinary team‑based care.

Work closely with primary care providers, specialists, and affiliated practices to support comprehensive, patient‑centered treatment plans.

Support patients managing a range of chronic conditions, including:

Anticoagulation therapy

Diabetes

Cholesterol (lipid) management

Weight management

Hypertension

What You Bring

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential

Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve creatively, work independently with minimal supervision, and make sound decisions in a self‑directed, team‑oriented environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams.

Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast‑paced clinical setting.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND.

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities, the RD/RDN credential is required at the time of hire.

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
