Regional Business Development Assistant
Department: Business Development

Reports To: Regional Business Development Managers

Location: Austin; however, this role can sit in any of Jackson Walker's office locations and candidate applications within those cities will also be considered.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY
Jackson Walker, the largest law firm in Texas, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Regional Business Development Assistant in our Austin office. The Regional Business Development Assistant supports the execution of regional business development and marketing initiatives across multiple offices. This role assists with content development, event coordination, market research, and internal communications to support the firm’s strategic growth objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Development & Communications

Develop written content and presentation materials for internal and external use.

Create and format PowerPoint presentations and supporting graphics.

Assist in drafting and distributing meeting recaps and communications.

Meeting & Event Coordination

Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, including scheduling, room reservations, catering, and A/V support.

Track RSVPs and manage attendee communications.

Support on-site execution of events and meetings.

Calendar & Program Management

Maintain comprehensive calendars for meetings, training programs, and firm initiatives.

Track key business development activities and deadlines.

Community & Sponsorship Coordination

Research community engagement opportunities for attorneys.

Maintain records of attorney participation in community organizations.

Coordinate firm sponsorships and ensure utilization of associated benefits.

Administrative & Operational Support

Manage ticket distribution for events and track allocation decisions.

Maintain and update files within the document management system (iManage).

Support departmental projects and initiatives as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or business development.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong research and analytical capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

WORK CONDITIONS
This position operates in a professional office environment with standard equipment. Occasional travel and overtime may be required based on business needs.
