Position Summary
Supports the provision of patient care through the coordination of unit clerical activities, intra and inter departmental communication, record keeping and order transcription.

Experience
Required: Previous experience as unit coordinator, completion of unit coordinator course or previous clerical/secretarial experience

Education
Required: High School Degree or equivalency;

Preferred: Unit coordinator course and/or secretarial and computer training, Knowledge of Medical Terminology

License and Credentials
Required: None

Preferred: Medical Terminology Certificate

Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organization and time management skills, computer skills, basic knowledge of medical terminology; ability to use standard office equipment including fax machine, multi‑line phones, and copiers; ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently

The minimum starting rate for this position is $17.14. When determining a team members base rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of recent relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
