Overview
Jersey Elevator is part of American Elevator Group (AEG), the largest independent elevator service company in North America, consisting of a collection of well-established elevator service companies operating throughout the United States. Backed by Arcline Investment Management, AEG has a significant footprint in the elevator industry and is rapidly growing. Due to growth, we are looking for a Warehouse Associate to work out of the Aberdeen, NJ area.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and ship orders, receive inbound, inventory put away, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.

Complete deliveries in the tri-state area via fourteen-foot or sixteen-foot box trucks, as required.

Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe.

Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

Assist in counting of physical inventory.

Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Hazards

The Warehouse Associate will work in a warehouse setting.

The job may involve working at heights or in confined spaces.

Hazards may include electrical shock, falls, and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Special Physical Demands

Must be able to lift heavy equipment up to fifty pounds (50lbs) or more, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

The job may require standing for prolonged periods of time and working in awkward position.

Work Contact Group

Moderate contact with internal departments, regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Maintain a clean driving record and class: D (standard) driver license.

Working knowledge of computers.

Experience with forklift operations.

Capable of physical labor (lifting, moving inventory, etc.).

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Highly flexible and a strong colleague.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Ability to grasp an understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
