Job Overview
Individual will perform machine setup and operate machines as needed. Machine parts per print for customer orders at various workstations throughout the Machining Department. Complies with current ISO requirements, all safety requirements, and good housekeeping.
A Day In The Life
Responsible for performing setup on In-line machines; including tooling changes and tooling adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
Responsible for operation of In-line machines; including loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.
Responsible for conformance with quality specifications.
Ability to troubleshoot machines and complete maintenance activities as needed.
Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of In-line machines.
Track components and tools used on In-line machines, e.g., hydraulic fittings/hoses, motors, drill heads, hydraulic cylinders, saw blades, drills, taps, etc.
Assist with the scheduling of machines by coordinating with planning/scheduling of production orders.
Assist with training additional set‑up personnel.
Operate machinery per requirements of the print specifications, shop order, and inspection charts.

Mechanically inclined – good with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fixing things both familiar and unfamiliar.
Mathematical skills – ability to perform standard mathematical concepts to make machine adjustments, applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning ability – ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer skills – able to use relevant software and tools for this position.
Detail oriented, organized, with the drive to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
