Business Analyst - Natural Gas Accounting

Location: Houston, TX - 5 days a week onsite in office
Pay: $50-70 per hour DOE

Client is hiring a BA to support ongoing implementation of an in-house developed natural gas accounting application across additional internal assets
Job Details
Must have natural gas experience specifically (NOT oil, crude, or power)
Strong BA skillset focused on requirements gathering + documentation
Heavy interaction with internal stakeholders only (business + IT, ~30–40 people)
Jira experience preferred for UAT, test cases, defect tracking
This is an implementation/rollout of an internally built gas accounting system across multiple assets
Job Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for natural gas accounting applications
Work closely with internal business stakeholders and IT teams to support system implementation across assets
Translate business needs into functional specifications and detailed documentation
Create and manage Jira tickets, including test cases, UAT results, and defect tracking
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts and ensure alignment between business requirements and system functionality
Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Track and report on project progress, issues, and resolutions
Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel) for documentation, reporting, and analysis
