
Student Research Interviewer

Position Overview
We are looking for Chinese international students or students with connections to the Chinese international student community to join our research team as Student Research Interviewers. You will conduct peer interviews with fellow Chinese international students graduating in summer 2026, helping us collect real data on their career experiences, job market challenges, and future plans.
What You Will Do
Conduct structured interviews or surveys with Chinese international students on campus
Ask questions about job search experiences, employer preferences, visa policy awareness, and career goals
Submit completed interview notes or survey responses to the VSC research team
Participate in a brief orientation call before starting
What You Will Gain
Official research experience at a U.S. nonprofit organization
Letter of recommendation upon successful completion
Your name credited in VSC's published research report
Hands-on experience with applied research methodology
A deeper understanding of the U.S. job market that directly benefits your own career
Who We Are Looking For
Current undergraduate or graduate student at a U.S. university
Chinese international student or have strong connections to this community
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
Organized, reliable, and genuinely curious
Able to commit 5-8 hours total over 3-4 weeks
