Job Goals
To help participating students achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship and an increased level of self‑esteem.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of coaching principles and practices
Knowledge of budgeting and financial arrangements
Knowledge of rules and regulations as they pertain to the area being coached and ability to deal effectively with co‑workers, athletes, students, administrators and the public.
Any additional qualifications which may be required for a particular sport.
Essential Functions of the Job
Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in dancing.
Plan and schedule regular program practice.
Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the activity is being held.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior among participants in the sport activity.
Attend Booster Club meetings.
Attend all meetings.
Be familiar with and follow the guidelines established in Ohio County Board of Education Regulation 4020.01.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment
Length of employment term varies according to sport/season.
