Overview
Allied Works Architecture is seeking an experienced and exceptional Project Architect in New York. The role involves working under demanding deadlines in a collaborative environment to contribute to Allied Works’ civic, cultural, and high-end architectural projects.
Responsibilities
Serve as Project Architect on current and future work with the Department of Design and Construction (DDC).
Manage projects through current workload, including two libraries (Queens and Brooklyn) and an Emergency Medical Station in the Bronx, with projects in or near Construction Administration.
Lead project teams and conduct client presentations; work independently with regular contact with the project Principal and key team members.
Collaborate within a design-focused, creative environment to deliver beautiful, moving, and meaningful work.
Qualifications
A degree in Architecture from an accredited university
9+ years of professional experience through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration
Experience leading a project team and client presentations
Experience in the Construction Administration phase
Ability to work independently with regular contact with the project Principal and key team members
Strong interpersonal spoken and written skills
Proven track record in managing projects and people
Experience with start-to-finish design and construction on institutional, cultural and high-end residential projects
Proficiencies in Vectorworks, Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suites preferred
