Overview
The Senior OpenShift Architect is responsible for the end-to-end architecture, design, implementation, and governance of
Red Hat OpenShift 4.x
platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems.
This role provides technical leadership, ensures enterprise-grade availability and performance, and drives modernization initiatives using cloud-native and containerization best practices. The architect collaborates with engineering, DevOps, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver scalable and secure OpenShift solutions aligned with strategic business goals.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, implementation, and governance of OpenShift platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems.
Provide technical leadership to engineering, DevOps, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver scalable and secure OpenShift solutions.
Ensure enterprise-grade availability and performance and drive modernization initiatives using cloud-native and containerization best practices.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in AWS and Linux/DevOps roles
Experience as a Principal Consultant on AWS ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS)
Hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualization on ROSA
Strong experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes administration
Expertise in OpenShift 4.x including:
Operators
Machine Sets
API Objects & CRDs
6+ years architecting and administering Kubernetes/OpenShift environments (including AWS ROSA)
Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, automation frameworks)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD)
Deep knowledge of:
Distributed systems
Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Ingress, Load Balancers)
Container orchestration
Enterprise security & compliance frameworks
Experience with observability tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic)
AI integration knowledge (preferred/plus)
