As a Die Design and Tooling Apprentice, you’ll play a vital role in assisting the team in producing high‑strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. This is a hands‑on opportunity to contribute to a mission that literally helps the world take flight.

Responsibilities
Exercise and promote safety
Scan design documents into the system
Be familiar with ITAR requirements
Will learn basics of design of tooling
Will learn basics of machining of tooling
Be trained on SolidWorks and machines as applicable
Learn ANSI standard and familiarize themselves with industry tolerances
Read and understand blueprints
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: Machining and CAD/CAM knowledge with some practical experience.
Certifications Required: None
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Safety Commitment
All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
