Requisition Summary
This position is responsible for process improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Production, and Material activities at the plant. The incumbent identifies and eliminates defects in plant and field operations by implementing sustainable improvements through data mining and coordination.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Assist Production Manager in planning production activities and serve as first-line manager to Production Leads.
Provide coverage for the Production Manager role.
Support the training, motivation, and safety of High Performance Work Team members.
Investigate, propose, and implement improvements to processes that enhance Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Supply Chain performance.
Ensure improvements are successfully implemented and sustained through development of standard work instructions, desk procedures, and training.
Support the PACCAR Production System by participating in lean leadership, 5S, Kaizen events and process audits.
Effectively support other functions as directed by the Production Manager.
Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field required.
5+ years of relevant experience required, experience in manufacturing preferred.
Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies; training and experience with Six Sigma tools a plus.
Strong communication, customer service, documentation, organization and analytical skills.
Ability to train others on improvement concepts.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver results.
Proficient in using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated understanding of production systems.
Must be a team player and able to multi-task.
Salary range: $86,900 - $124,100 annually.
