
Production Manager

Manufacturing Manager Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based dessert. The Company's North American operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.
Oversee the manufacturing process and ensure everything is running smoothly and efficiently by making most efficient utilization of the available sources. Will provide sufficient resources and support to grow an increasingly positive food safety culture.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor production schedules and work closely with planning to adjust accordingly to ensure schedules are met. Collaboration with Operational functions to fulfill schedule execution.
Improve productivity levels of employees on continuous basis by training and bringing into use standards of performance derived from work measurement studies.
Monitor and achieve safety, quality, productivity KPIs, and customer delivery KPIs.
Oversee a variety of projects, leads functional teams, and develops reports and recommendations, and implements results.
Develops and implements plant goals and objectives based on direction from senior management and executes toward achievement.
Employee development, annual reviews and performance appraisals. Assists with interviewing/hiring of production employees and responsible for disciplinary measures that may be taken.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food science, or related field
Experience and Key Knowledge Requirements:
At least 3 years Supervisor experience in food manufacturing or related field
Managerial experience preferred
Decision Making, strong verbal/written communication, management and development of employees, problem solving, flexibility.
Fast-paced environment requiring on the floor presence
Shopfloor Management, KPI monitoring
Experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus)
Exposure to PLC/SPS
Knowledge of either Opex, TPM, Lean, or IWS
Experience in EHS, FSQ, GMP
