The person in this position will work with a dedicated team of employees while gaining new and valuable skills. The Financial Operations Reporting Unit is responsible for managing the lock box, automatic withdrawals, and cash deposits for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Ticket-To-Work (TWP) premium cases and Spenddown pay-in cases. The unit manages the financial procedures and reporting for these programs in the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) to ensure the collection accurately establishes the MO Health Net eligibility record and to ensure the client notices are accurate and timely.
Maintain responsibility for all checks received by the MO HealthNet Division from providers and participants.
Open and sort mail three times daily.
Acquire and maintain good working knowledge of all check types received by Mo HealthNet Division.
Log and code checks in MMIS and Healthtrack.
Scan checks into Workflow to distribute to appropriate units.
Research information to appropriately handle return mail items.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of systems used by Mo HealthNet (SAMII, Healthtrack, MMIS, Workflow) in addition to programs such as Microsoft Office/365.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting procedures and office methods and practices. Attention to detail is a must. Ability to make mathematical calculations. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to review financial documents for accuracy with attention to details. Ability to maintain automated and manual financial records. In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions. Ability to identify and resolve transactional issues. Healthtrack, Workflow, MMIS systems are used extensively in this position. The individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
