Role Overview
The creative group at Salesforce has an opening for an Art Director. Salesforce creatives combine high‑level creativity, craftsmanship, strategic smarts, and business IQ to bring engaging concepts to life. Experienced thinkers and storytellers collaborate in a multifaceted environment to create remarkable work that inspires customers, attracts prospects, and delivers results.
Who you are
You have excellent design skills, a wealth of digital experience, and impressive conceptual abilities. You’re fearless in trying new directions or techniques to create something new. You have your finger on the pulse of industry trends and best practices, and you’re frequently sought out by other designers for input on their designs. You’re both a sprinter and long‑distance runner.
Key Responsibilities
Concept everything from big campaign ideas and event experiences to cohesive design themes for email campaigns and merchandise.
Design creative campaigns, email materials, social campaigns, webpages, presentations, and any other assets required by internal clients or the creative team.
Create immersive experiences for world‑class events, including Dreamforce.
Create and inspire work that meets strategic marketing objectives and clear points of view that align with the Salesforce brand.
Promote collaboration between the client and the creative department.
Develop, produce, and lead well‑thought‑out presentations that tell the story of the design solution.
Constantly push the envelope by promoting progressive thinking and innovation.
Lead and coach junior creative staff through critique to maintain quality and consistency.
Understand the business and industry of internal clients and external customers.
Work with external vendors/freelancers to provide clear creative direction and timely feedback to improve creative processes.
Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short‑ and long‑term needs.
Skills and Experience
5+ years of advertising agency or design shop experience, or strong command of integrated marketing/advertising campaigns that include digital (web, UI/UX, interactive, video) plus traditional advertising or design projects (print, OOH, events).
Exceptional portfolio of original work that is both conceptual and results‑driven.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and eagerness to push the boundaries.
Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Expert knowledge of Figma.
Proficiency in AI tools such as Gemini, Veo 3, Runway ML, Nano Banana, Claude Code.
Proficiency in video editing and After Effects.
Expert knowledge of Keynote/PowerPoint/Google Slides.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
