Overview
Raytheon’s Naval Power Strategic Business Unit seeks a Manager, Contracts to support sensor, command and control and precision weapon solutions. The role involves cradle‑to‑grave contract administration—proposal preparation, negotiation, administration, and closeout—to meet company policies and customer specifications.
What You Will Do
Represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and develop business relationships with customers.
Partner with Programs and cross‑functional teams to develop creative solutions and resolve contractual matters.
Communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.
Analyze RFPs, develop proposals, conduct proposal reviews, negotiate agreements, and implement contracts.
Conduct timely negotiations and resolve customer issues to maximize key financial metrics.
Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters, applying critical thinking and collaborating with stakeholders.
Provide strategic advice on contractual rights, obligations, regulations, and policy to mitigate risks.
Multi‑task routine and complex contract activities while responding to unplanned quick‑response requirements.
Travel is minimal and domestic.
Qualifications You Must Have
University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years experience.
Experience with U.S. Government contracts under FAR and DFARS.
Lead contracts negotiation and serve as contracts lead.
Experience with FPIF‑type contracts and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
Experience with DoD weapons contracts (industry or federal).
Qualifications We Prefer
Administration and negotiation of complex proposals and contracts.
Commercial contracts experience.
Experience working sole‑source proposals, preferably over $2.5 M.
Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑functional stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated teamwork and relationship building with internal and external customers.
Mature judgment and proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution.
