A multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm is expanding its Restoration Division and looking to add a Structural Design Engineer in Miami.
This team focuses on the repair, renovation, and alteration of existing structures, combining design work with hands-on field assessment. The role sits at the intersection of structural engineering, investigation, and real-world execution.
The Role
You will work across structural repair, retrofit, and renovation projects, supporting both design and field activities. This includes condition assessments, feasibility studies, and rehabilitation design across a range of structural systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Structural analysis and repair design across concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and other systems
• Design coordination with internal teams and external consultants
• Client interaction to define project scope and requirements
• Site visits to assess existing conditions and support investigations
• Production of drawings, calculations, and technical reports
• Managing your own workflow across multiple projects and deadlines
What They’re Looking For
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master’s preferred
• Experience working on existing buildings, repair, renovation, or retrofit projects
• Exposure to structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc or similar
• Familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD preferred
• Working knowledge of reinforced concrete, masonry, steel, and timber systems
• Understanding of Florida Building Code and local construction practices
• PE or RA preferred, not essential
• Comfortable with site work and client-facing responsibilities
