SerraCDJR Lake Orion is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dealership Title Clerk to join our team in Lake Orion, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing vehicle titles and registration documents to ensure compliance with state regulations and facilitate smooth vehicle transactions. Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit title and registration documents to the Michigan Secretary of State (SOS).
Ensure proper completion of RD-108 forms and all supporting documentation.
Handle title work for retail, wholesale, lease, and out-of-state transactions.
Process lien recordings, payoffs, and title follow-up with lenders.
Track and resolve title discrepancies, missing paperwork, and rejects.
Verify sales tax, title fees, and plate transfers are calculated correctly per Michigan guidelines.
Communicate with Sales and F&I to ensure deal accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile schedules related to receivables, CIT (Contracts in Transit), and title work.
Provide excellent customer service and support to dealership staff and customers.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Dealertrack (highly preferred).
Prior experience in title clerking, document processing, or a related administrative role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
Ability to manage high deal volume in a fast-paced environment.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies.
Proficiency with computers and basic software applications.
