Job Summary
Under general supervision of the UC Center Sacramento (UCCS) Director and Associate Director, work with campus representatives, UC Davis, and Office of the President to coordinate a UC system‑wide internship program. Responsible for student affairs at UCCS including outreach and marketing to prospective students, handling any student‑related issues while a student is enrolled at UCCS, and building a strong and vibrant UCCS alumni network. Assist in coordinating undergraduate and graduate student internship placement.

Qualifications
Required to hold a valid California driver’s license, have a driving record in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
BA or equivalent degree and experience.
Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies, including evaluation of effectiveness related to student recruitment and/or outreach.
Experience and knowledge of theories, principles, objectives, policies, and procedures related to advising and program development.
Experience using specialized counseling skills to advise and inform individual students in a university environment.
Knowledge of safety, security, and health issues that affect students participating in experiential learning opportunities.
Knowledge of academic departments, majors, minors, and general education requirements.
Interpersonal, communication, and technical skills, including public speaking and presentations to diverse audiences, and use of computer systems (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and website maintenance).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Familiarity with issues related to state government and policy.

The program includes coursework as well as professional experience while living, interning, and attending classes in Sacramento.

Significant travel (ground or air travel) to various UC campuses to attend outreach and recruitment events requiring regular overnight stays. Valid driver’s license required. Work in team environment housed in two distinct physical locations (Sacramento & Davis).
