Seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. Propulsion systems include diesel, gasoline, and alternative technologies such as compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electrical where applicable.
Responsibilities and Duties
Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the workday
Sits infrequently, as required, throughout the workday
Uses hand tools and operates standard and manual transmission, power, and pneumatic tools
Minimum Education Required
High School/GED

Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Saturday schedules depending on location needs

Knowledge and Skills
Current documented automotive mechanical experience
Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer
Possesses full complement of personal hand tools
Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred
Dependable with ability to report to work regularly and complete scheduled workday
Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime as needed
Wears personal protective equipment as required
Works in environments with variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise
Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
Communicates effectively to perform tasks and maintain safety
Salary
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is
$36.80 per hour . For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), defined-benefit pension plan, medical-dental and vision after waiting and/or probation period, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, paid sick and family and medical leave time as required by law, paid holidays, and discounted employee stock purchase program.
