**Overview**
Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant in the Collections, Discovery, and Resource Sharing Unit. This role supports faculty, staff, and students by contributing to the daily operations of the unit. This position works up to 10 hours per week, depending on operational needs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Scan title pages, title page versos, tables of contents, and covers for print materials; compile and send PDFs to the cataloger
+ Scan containers and disc surfaces for non-print materials
+ Review DVDs and complete worksheets to capture video credits
+ Create item records, attach barcodes, and route materials to Physical Processing
+ Send barcode information to the cataloger for reclassification projects
+ Assist with authority control work as assigned
+ Transcribe Discover Auburn Lecture videos
+ Copy and format tables of contents for e-books
+ Type out tables of contents for print books in Word and send them to the requestor
+ Search external databases for cataloging records
