Electrician
This role involves performing commercial electrical installations and maintenance, with a strong focus on EMT conduit work, wiring, and other field tasks as directed by site leadership. You will support ongoing construction projects by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

Install and work with EMT conduit in sizes including 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", and 2" according to project specifications and electrical codes.

Pull wire and cable through conduit and other pathways to support power distribution and low‑voltage systems.

Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to plan and execute installations accurately.

Assist with the installation of switchgear, panels, and related electrical equipment in commercial settings.

Perform wiring and terminations for various electrical components and systems.

Support low‑voltage electrical work as required by the project scope.

Troubleshoot electrical issues and assist in resolving problems in a safe and efficient manner.

Complete miscellaneous electrical tasks and duties as directed by the on‑site foreman or supervisor.

Follow all safety procedures and site rules while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical experience.

Proficiency in installing and working with EMT conduit in multiple sizes (3/4", 1", 1 1/2", 2").

Strong experience with pulling wire and cable in commercial environments.

Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.

Hands‑on experience with construction‑related electrical work.

Skill in installing switchgear and electrical panels.

Knowledge of low‑voltage electrical systems.

Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.

Ability to follow directions from a foreman and work effectively as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Experience working on commercial construction sites.

Familiarity with safe work practices and applicable electrical standards.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once tasks are assigned.

Work Environment
This position is based on active commercial construction sites and involves hands‑on electrical work with EMT conduit, wiring, cable, panels, switchgear, and low‑voltage systems. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday with a start time of 5:00 pm, with the potential for Saturday work as projects progress. You will work under the direction of a foreman and collaborate with other trades in a fast‑paced, task‑oriented setting that requires adherence to safety protocols and site procedures.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00–$32.00/hr.
