Position Summary
Position : Signal Integrity Engineer
Location : Nashua, NH
Amphenol Spectra-Strip is a leader in hyper scale data center bulk wire solutions. We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications. We are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team in Nashua, NH.
Responsibilities
Serve as the 'architect' for signal integrity capability and competencies for Spectra-Strip Community
Engage with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on SI topics
Figure out resource requirements and communicate to management with appropriate justification
Identify and overcomes obstacles and pro-actively plan creative and effective mitigation
Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical cables
Provide solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements, identifying and resolving signal integrity issues at any phase of product life cycle
Communicate signal integrity concepts to a wide range of audiences in the factory and in interactions with customers
Apply PLM rules for revision control, change management and communication of SI modeling
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and 2+ years of current experience in interconnect signal integrity measurement and/or simulation
Strong understanding of electro-magnetic principles for digital signal integrity
Experience with signal integrity and electro-magnetic simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave. Experience with MATLAB, ADS, and HSPICE is a plus
Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods
Experience in component design and application of high-speed cables/connectors
Mechanical aptitude
Project management experience a plus
