Shift Engineer – Front of House
Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is seeking a Shift Engineer – Front of House who is technically skilled, service‑oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, comfort, and quality for our guests.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair resort building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment
Respond promptly and professionally to guest room and public area maintenance requests
Perform daily inspections and operational checks of treated systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
Maintain and repair Building Management Systems (BMS) and related controls
Complete general maintenance tasks such as re‒lamping, plumbing repairs, and in‑room equipment adjustments
Accurately document work orders, repairs, and inspections using the HotSOS system
Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership and resort departments to support daily operations
Participate in the engineering on‑call rotation and assist with emergency repairs and major maintenance projects
Uphold Four Seasons service standards, safety policies, and professional conduct at all times
What To Bring
Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance systems and facilities operations
One to four years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or related technical fields (hotel or resort experience preferred)
Technical school training or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
Clear communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call shifts
High school diploma or equivalent
