
Production Supervisor

Job Description
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies. We are advancing the world of health and this role supports the Tucson site by leading technical operators, mechanics and coordinating with QA, Engineering, and scheduling to run the monthly production plan.
Job Summary
This position provides overall leadership for the Tucson site, overseeing technical operators, mechanics and coordinating closely with QA, Engineering, and scheduling to run the monthly production plan.
Job Responsibilities
Associate training on procedures and Apriso, SAP systems, B Eagle, and eDHR.
Close production orders in eDHR.
Lead and support all safety aspects of the plant and warehouse.
Ensure material handling equipment meets safety requirements.
Coordinate production orders (irradiation orders).
Align with Production Scheduler on the monthly production plan.
Coordinate mechanics for corrective and preventive maintenance plans.
Coordinate activities between technical operators and material handlers.
Ensure production orders are complete, released, and ready for processing.
Confirm and accurately record executed production orders.
Maintain and report production performance metrics, including OEE.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives for processes and equipment.
Ensure equipment availability for maintenance execution.
Coordinate with material handlers to ensure material availability and readiness of work orders.
Make operational decisions during equipment downtime, prioritizing safety and product quality.
Provide training to associates on procedures and systems such as Apriso, SAP, B‑Eagle, and eDHR.
Other duties as required to support the business needs.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field required.
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or relevant field preferred.
5+ years equipment operation experience preferred.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
SAP/MES knowledge (plus).
Communication and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate with various organizational levels.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strategic thinking.
Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
