
Day Shift Fork Lift Driver (Material Handler)

Quad in Hartford, WI is seeking full‑time Warehouse Material Handlers (Forklift Drivers) to grow with us.
Role: Manage inventory control on the production floor, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and accurately to machines to keep production downtime to a minimum.
Starting wages: $18.00–$19.00 / hr, plus a $3.00 night‑shift premium.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Move product/skids with a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift, or forklift (training provided)
Service press and finishing machines to move product throughout the plant
Maintain accurate inventory of products using an onboard PC and RF bar‑coding system
Load and unload finished products and materials from semi‑trailers and auto‑wrappers using a forklift
Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
Communicate effectively with team members
Follow all clean‑up and housekeeping procedures
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Strong computer skills are preferred.
Prior forklift experience where 75% or more of your day is spent on a forklift.
Experience in factory, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, or related mechanical or hand work (labourer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, or warehouse work).
Printing, finishing (bindery), or warehouse experience is preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Good math skills.
Capability to use repetitive hand/wrist movements.
Ability to multitask and prioritize job needs.
Team player in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented production environment.
12‑hour compressed work schedule: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., not rotating. Shift includes days, weekends, and holidays. Work 182 days a year while maintaining full‑time status.
Additional Information
The actual rate of pay offered will vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package may include overtime and shift differentials, depending on the role.
