Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. The role includes setting up, maintaining, and cleaning seafood display cases, cleaning, filling, and rotating the seafood displays, and lifting 50 lbs., bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical of a fast‑paced grocery store and requires lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and meeting visual and auditory requirements.
Qualifications
Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 45 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra noteworthy).
Retail Management Certificate (extra noteworthy).
