We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our well‑established client’s organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to our company's financial health, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3‑5+ years’ experience in the accounting field, preferably with some public accounting knowledge/experience. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Liaise with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Support month‑end and year‑end close process
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
Awareness of business trends
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process
Hands‑on experience with accounting software packages
Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
MBA Preferred; BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required
Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Advanced degree in Accounting
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with creating financial statements
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
