
Associate-Logistics Operations (Orders)

Position Description
Under the direction and supervision of the Manager–Logistics Operations, the Associate–Logistics Operations is responsible for supporting both warehouse activities and order processing functions to ensure efficient and accurate handling of inventory and shipments.
This hybrid role is designed to build cross-functional capability across warehouse operations and administrative processing. The Associate will routinely transition between physical warehouse tasks and system-based order processing based on operational needs, workload fluctuations, and business priorities.
The position plays a critical role in maintaining workflow continuity, ensuring data accuracy, meeting customer requirements, and supporting overall distribution efficiency.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Warehouse Operations
Responsible for all assigned functions for warehousing and distribution including loading and unloading trucks, whether manually or mechanically.
Processing, packing, stacking, labeling of cargo per approved standards.
Operating mechanical and pneumatic assembly machines, as directed.
Where necessary provide guidance and training to junior Associates.
Comply with all Customer specifications, work standards and instructions.
Comply with all government regulations, including but not limited to CTPAT.
Maintain a positive attitude when conducting business, even under stressful conditions with Customers, vendors and overseas agents, at all times.
Order Processing
Process outbound shipments by preparing orders, manifests, and labels, ensuring accuracy and proper routing.
Enter and verify inventory transactions within the warehouse management system.
Review and process shipment documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
Maintain detailed and accurate shipment records, notes, and account information.
Ensure a high level of data accuracy (target 99%+) in all system entries and documentation.
Prepare transaction reports to support billing and operational tracking.
Communicate shipment status updates and provide customer service support.
Identify and escalate delays, discrepancies, or irregularities to management.
Qualifications
Minimum High school diploma or GED required.
Previous warehouse and/or order processing experience preferred.
Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and related applications).
Experience using RF scan gun technology required.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking processes preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Forklift certification preferred; push/pull attachment experience required.
