We’re here, standing beside our customers, ready to serve and succeed. ITA is seeking a summer intern to join our Human Resources team at our headquarters in Newport News, Virginia.

Responsibilities

Help maintain employee records, update HR databases, and assist with employee benefits administration.

Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation and helping new employees settle into their roles.

Assist in ensuring that the company is compliant with labor laws and internal policies. Help maintain proper HR documentation.

Assist in the coordination of training sessions, workshops, and employee development programs.

Collaborate on various HR projects, such as performance management, compensation analysis, and HR technology improvements.

Working on various projects as part of a team, with the potential for briefing senior leadership.

Making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Administrative support such as answering the phone, scanning, filing, copying, etc.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, psychology, or a related field.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.

Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.

Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks and to work independently when appropriate.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
