Human Resources Intern (Summer and/or Fall 2026)

Overview
Position Purpose: Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in a Human Resource business environment, centering on developing and facilitating training, assisting with recruiting efforts and employer relations, leading a student talent program, and collaborating on policy administration? If so, the Human Resource Intern position could be the right fit for you.

Essential Functions

Provide support on various HR processes, including performance appraisals, new employee orientation and onboarding, salary administration, and HR metrics.

Create and facilitate company mandated and other training modules to employees.

Recruit for assigned openings, following all aspects of the established recruiting process, which includes working closely with recruiting sources, hiring managers, candidates, and interviewers.

Maintain a strong customer service attitude, enhancing employee relations and providing excellent service to internal and external personnel.

Lead the student talent program, responsible for developing program curriculum, organizing and managing the interviewing process, creating and administering training, and mentoring approximately 15 students each semester.

Introduction to Hendrickson’s HRIS system: ADP Lyric.

Act as a member of various employee engagement committees including: Activities, Wellness, and Safety.

Education And Training

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related degree.

Minimum Qualifications

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related degree.

Previous work experience in HR, delivering training, or in a business setting is a plus.

Knowledge of basic principles and practices of Human Resources is a plus.

Effective oral, written, and PC skills required.

Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required.

Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 required.

Physical Demands

Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time.

Office setting.
